Ok final bought it. Too much stuff happening in the world that can cause disruption so 20% at $208, I am finished with my build for 2022. Was glad I waited! Excellent card for 1080p!

Nice to see this card at what should have been its original MSRP, but now it's two years old, and it can keep falling.

Good price but I'm still waiting for a non-PowerColor/XFX/HIS deal to upgrade my Hackintosh.

Is this a good GPU for a beginners build? All I'm going to do is possibly play MW2 But wanna be able to get close to 120hz and watch Netflix. Not going to do anything crazy.

It is good for a beginner build. You can probably get close or over 120 on MW2 at 1080p depending on your settings, but you should probably look for specific benchmarks on it

If you are playing at 1080p and are okay at playing with and lowering a few settings definitely.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQH6uhdLRYc I don't think you need to lower a few settings.

I think i'm finally going to pull the trigger on one. Havent bought a new card in almost 9 years (currently using a R9 290). Looks like this card performs better than a RTX 2060 by a margin. I will probably use this card as a stop gap and wait until a RDNA 3 card goes on sale.

I didn't see a game comparable in the video to what was asked from the comment I was responding to, which was about MW2, a currently unreleased title that has it's competitive specs (120 fps, what the question was asking) listed as a 5700xt for an AMD card, which is a card a little faster than this one. Yes this card is perfect for high-ultra 1080p 60fps easy for games, like the video shows. The settings being lower for high-refresh rate competitive is usually recommended anyways so should not be an issue, so yeah this is a perfect 1080p card and finally at the price it should have been released at all along. edit: spelling

No I quoted the game specifically to him. I just wanted to show you that there is no need for most games on 1080p to lower your settings in game. The only one I could think of is Cyberpunk but that game is a resource eating monster.

Oh yeah I agree with that! Really won't need to lower settings for anything at 1080p to hit 60+fps average.
And I just saw you posted a different video to the other comment of MW2 specifically. That campaign has all setting high/ultra playing on a 144 monitor but still has a lot of FPS fluctuation and not hitting the 120 fps mark I was responding to. So I would still lower settings for a higher refresh rate (to actually utilize the monitors ability) and smoother competitive experience, and would probably max it out for campaign like in the video you posted.
If I needed a card for/was playing at 1080p this is the first time/price in years I would actually buy. I TU the deal.

I completely overlooked the fact that he wanted to play the game at 120hz refresh rate lol my bad. For that he needs a 6650 XT which right now is like 70 / 80 bucks more but most likely will be coming down a bit in the next few weeks. I think its realistic to see 265 like we had soon again maybe even hitting 250.

I finally bought this one. Playing FF VII remake using 1060 3GB and it struggles a little even at 1080P.
