While this particular KJ is out of my price range, I do have a vision brand Kamado. Before purchasing it, I thought people were crazy for spending the money such grills cost. I was blessed to find mine at an overstock store for about half price and decided to give it a try. Wow is all I can say now! After cooking with a Kamado and enjoying the food produced, I would recommend others purchase the best one they could afford as soon as possible. While other methods may come close to the flavor, moistness, and textures a Kamado can produce, kamados are now my personal favorite. My 22" vision can do a full packer brisket over 20 hours on one load of lump charcoal. I enjoy it so much, I even got a KJ Jr for camping. Let the naysayers be, get a grill within your budget, and enjoy the best food you've ever tasted.

I can confirm that this is totally worth the price. Done several 18lb briskets for over 15 hours on one load of charcoal.

The price is incredible. Lowest I've seen it was $2500 on BBQ Island. That was free shipping and no taxes. MSRP Is actually $2999 btw

What's the best non kamado joe charcoal basket for a big joe. I have a version 1 or 2 but not wanting to pay the joe price. Need it to get super high temps.
