max height (WITH caster wheels) is 42", for anyone considering this as a standing desk. That's likely too short for anyone taller than 5'10" or so.

edit: originally said too short for anyone SHORTER than 5'10", I corrected this, sorry!

That doesn't make sense. If it is too short for (short) people (<5'10") then it is too short/low for tall people (>5'10") too right?

Anyone use this for a desk have the drawers installed? Do you interfere with your legs when seated normally?

at lowest height, there is 21 and 3/4" clearance, which would probably just barely be touching the tops of my knees, but you can adjust it to be 16" higher.

I bought this for my 3D printer. It's great value, and sturdier than I expected. Considering it's $50 cheaper than I paid, I say this is a very good deal.

I have this table in the 60" version without the drawers and the cross bar that houses the axle for controlling the left side can be annoying when trying to cross your leg. Things you don't quite think of when buying a manual height adjusting table but should consider.

are you talking about the bar in the middle on the bottom? If so, I'm pretty sure that bar can be moved, which is shown in one of the additional photos...

For me it was too short and too small (not deep enough) to be used as a standing desk. I bought it anyway knowing I was going to add a large top that's approx 10" higher off the top. I under finished birch plywood, and some metal corner brackets to attach it. Also from HD.

I went this route for 2 reasons:

1) I didn't want an adjustable desk that was electric. Manual seemed more reliable over the long term.

2) Push come to shove I can remove my top and I have a work bench. A dedicated stand desk only has a single role. Mine has a possible two.

p.s. I have the drawers but that unit sits in the area between the regular top and the top I added on top of that. I didn't want it hanging underneath.

I've used this as a desk a couple years now. I just removed the bottom drawer which was really easy. I am 6' and fit fine.

No, I'm talking about the bar right under the table top that goes across to the other side. It houses the axle that connects to the left side to control the raising and lowering of the leg on the left side. For the bar at the bottom, you are correct. It can be mounted in the middle or towards the back of the legs.

How is lateral stability? I was considering for the same application.

I bought the 52" version a year ago. These come with both casters and feet. That being said the stability varies depending on what route you choose. Don't expect it to be as stable as a good workbench. I have used mine for a table saw outfeed table with the casters installed and it works well.

Yes, 5'7 here and the drawers do annoyingly interfere with my knees when I am using my barstool high chair so I have to sit a bit farther away from the desk. I could just leave them off but I do very much need the storage..
