Great deal with or without the hack. I've got 20 Ridgid batteries (yes, I need to seek counseling!), four or five of which are 6.0 AH Max Output's. I also have three 6.0 Ah Octane batteries and the Max Outputs run my vacuum about a minute longer (I compared run-times). I cannot tell any power difference between the two on my Octane or other newer tools,(both provide major torque for my beast of an Octane hammer drill that I use for mixing thinset mortar), plus the Max Output is a lot smaller, same size as the 4.0 Ah.

I am torn deciding between this, the Milwaukee M18 and the DeWalt 20V XR deals which include batteries and Jig Saw..... :-/
These do have the lifetime warranty.

Was going to hack it but then Home Depot cancelled the item I was going to not pickup. Nice!

Edit: then they cancelled the other portion... weird. Tried ordering again from another location, we will see if they cancel again.

So looks like the hack doesn't work?

Possibly, they just cancelled the batteries order again. All cancels have been due to 'out of stock' and the locations with the cancellations now no longer have the items cancelled listed as in stock

I placed another at another Home Depot where it shows they had ten battery kits in stock. Later I got a call saying that they couldn't locate it. The guy said in about two weeks they will have a major tools sales . After all, they canceled two of my orders from separate store.

That's odd. Wonder if they jumped the gun on this deal. Also, if anybody else in this thread has gotten their order canceled

Got cancellation for my first few order and retries with my preferred HD store. Then reordered at another store and got the ready-for-pickup email within a few hours. So my guess is that the demand of battery set is high therefore it goes out-of-stock quickly. You could try a few alternate stores if this works for you.

My batteries got canceled so I came back to check the thread and see I'm not the only one. I ordered from another store so we will see. The tool from my first order is ready for pick-up without the battery, but I actually want both.

Going to give the hack a try for the first time. I am trying to keep from having the problem that SmilingBird412 has since I am only at eight batteries! Thanks OP.

so what's happening when the batteries get cancelled? Are people just getting the tool for like $80?

i'm looking at the circular saw for 179, and i sure wouldn't mind getting it for $80. I'd actually prefer to get the saw and batteries, but I wouldn't complain about just getting the saw for cheap.

Does anyone know what happens if you return a Ridgid tool after registering it for the LSA? Some of these deals are better than my recent purchases, but I've already submitted the LSAs and they're all pending. Will the returned tools get removed from my account? Could it cause any problems?

I got the battery issue as well. Called them and it was a mistake. Told em I show 10 in stock on their website, they saw that their ORDER system showed zero, yet their INVENTORY showed the 10. So the item pickers are reviewing the ORDER inventory and not the STORE inventory without even looking on the floor.
