Nope. Different generation. My pair of flip 4's are very unreliable in stereo mode, and good luck trying to use the stereo function when paired to a labtop for a movie.. never had success.

The sonys handle that scenario just fine with dedicated stereo linking that's source independent (xb43 for example). I like JBLs sound profile, but have been very frustrated with my flip 4s. I don't know if JBL has fixed this yet on current models (making the stereo AND party connectivity modes software and device independent). I won't consider more jbl models until they do, because I appreciate a stereo sound field...

The battery dies on these things immediately after the warranty expires. They also try to make it non-replaceable. Not recommended. Get a UE Boom 3.

I considered getting a second Flip 5 with the $50 off $100 Dell AmEx offer, but ultimately decided I would then just have a louder, s***ty 2-speaker system. I'm not an audiophile, but the Flip 5 really, really disappointed me.

Flip 3, 4, and 5 batteries can be replaced fairly quickly (see youtube) with good instructions. However, I think my flips are about 4 years old now on the original batteries. They seem to use decent cells at least from my experience, but I don't cycle them much at all.

My Flip 3 and Flip 4 both had their batteries die a couple weeks out of warranty. I used them daily.

IMO, it's worse than Tribit Maxsound Plus interm of sound, even on the deal like this.
For any skeptical ppl, I own Senn TWS 1, Sony WF-1k4, Final ZE3000 for reference.
