I got three of these with the last deal using an Amex offer. Nice size and convenient to carry around, but the battery pack only charges at around 7w and takes forever. Hardly use it anymore because most of the time when we find it around the house, it's dead and takes about 2-3hr to charge.
The best use case I can think of is if you are traveling and only have a USB-c charger with you, this will let you charge your iPhone along with your laptop, iPad Pro, and others.
I would not buy at this price.

Just FYI, this seems to be the older model to the newer 621.

I have one of these. My experience:

1) You can't overnight charge it like you would a normal wireless charger if you have battery protection on since it requires "activation." My phone will stop at 80%, turn the charger off, and since the phone doesn't have hands, it can't retrigger when it's getting ready for me to wake up to charge the extra 20%

2) 5,000 mAh isn't a ton. I enjoy it because the iPhone Mini's battery is so tiny, but due to the inefficiency of Qi vs a wired connection, don't expect a 1:1 charge ratio.

3) It's a really great idea and despite the drawbacks, I don't usually leave home without mine.

I don't understand why anyone would buy a wireless battery pack. It defeats the point entirely. I have 10,000mAh USB-C PD banks that charges 60% of my phone in 20 minutes and lasts longer for the same price. Why would I want something that takes 3 hours and overheats the shit out of my phone?

Maybe it defeats your point. But it doesn't defeat everyone's points. A wireless battery pack allows you to charge your phone in your pocket/purse/bag/backpack without a cable getting tangled or putting stress on the phone port as you move around. If you don't value relieving port stress, having one less thing to carry around, and keeping things a little more tidy, then don't buy it. But being unable to understand others use cases just shows ignorance.

How are you going to wirelessly charge something in your bag while moving ? It's going to constantly lose surface contact and significantly reduce the effectiveness of wireless charging, which is already comically bad. This isn't even a MagSafe charger. You rather have your phone bouncing around in a bag for 3 hours instead of connected for 20 minutes? If I'm ignorant, you're dumb.
All over the product page it repeatedly states it attaches magnetically. Are you reading the wrong product listing? You're doubling down on your ignorance.

A wired charger accomplishes the same result in 10% of the time, and for the price, you can buy one with double if not triple the capacity of this device. Your whole argument about "relieving port stress" is a joke unless you're walking around with a $50 micro USB phone made of plastic and glue. Go shill for anker's clearance department elsewhere.
Classic. You get proven wrong spreading blatant lies, so you ignore it and immediately pivot to a new absurd argument. Now you're attacking all wireless chargers, not just wireless battery packs.

Look, if you don't like the product, don't get it. But my original point still stands. Wireless chargers bring benefits. Whether you like them or not is irrelevant.

Wireless charging is universally crap because you know, the laws of physics. So yeah.
You're trying to derail from my opening points because you can't refute them. I know the pros and cons to wireless charging. I know why someone would and would not use it. You're the one who says you can't understand why anyone would buy them. Therefore, according to your own words, you're the one lacking understanding, not me.

Have fun paying more for an inferior product
I'm not going to buy it, nor have I stated that anyone should buy it. All I did is explain why someone might buy it. Then you got triggered and started lying about the product features, lying about wireless charging in general, insulting anyone who uses it, and calling me a shill even though I never told anyone they should get it.

It's useful in some scenarios, for example when my wife is walking around FaceTiming with a dying battery and doesn't want to be tied down with a cable, this just sticks on the back and keeps her going. It is inefficient and does heat up, though not much since it's only 5w.
But yes, most of the time I much prefer plugging in to a fast charger for a few minutes at 3-4x the charge rate.
IMO this would probably make sense for most people around a $15 price point.

Nice deal. While there are some drawbacks (heat, size, capacity) where you are looking for a truly mobile mag safe charger these are great.

Comparing to the Apple version: it's not as slick interface, it's thicker and less comfortable, slightly hotter in my opinion, but also MUCH less expensive.

I don't have the new Anker version to compare to.

My most common use case is being low on battery but wanting to still use my phone where it is not convenient to be tied to a big battery pack. Which on my life happens a decent amount.

I have had this for a few months. It made my trip this summer in europe super EZ. Iphone 13 mini owners rejoice! This works perfectly with the small size of your phone. The 622 model is larger and not compatible like this one is with the 13 mini.
