Do they sound any better than the Q30? I have the Q35, but they're just too bassy.

The bass is definitely toned down on the Q45 and I felt the treble was very harsh out of the box. They sound ok once the treble is toned down a lot, but I couldn't help but feel like there was something missing from the music no matter what EQ settings I used. Their instrument separation is pretty good, but they seemed to lack depth and sounded hollow. Sound is subjective, though, so you might end up liking them. The ANC is acceptable for the price (better than the Sennheiser Momentum 3, but that's a pretty low bar IMO), so they're worth a try for $100. I ended up returning them, along with the Momentum 3 that I bought at the same time.
