You know you are on Slickdeals when you run into trading in a brand new device because it's a good deal. Fyi I am in the same boat as you are. Got a fe in closet never opened 😂.
Well it's the weekly samsung trade-in-a-thon. I traded a 1st gen ipad air for $275 off galaxy tab s7 fe @ $174.00. Then I trade in s7 fe for $400 off a galaxy tab s8 256gb with EPP for $189.00. How does Samsung stay afloat? Either way happy to get this deal.

What are the odds that the deal may get sweeter in a month, with the same trade values (I have a pristine S7 that I got for around $150 from a previous trade deal when I got rid of my Tab S2 8"), but they threw in some galaxy buds or a watch? That prior deal had high trade values and galaxy buds 2.

Or even better... just high trade values and a bigger discount on the S8+?
No one knows what will happen in the future. If it's a good deal for you right now, go for it.

Honestly not sure what I should do. I have a Tab s7+ which just got a hairline crack after having no blemishes since I purchased over a year ago. If I upgrade I would want the s8+ since I already have the keyboard cover that would work for it and prefer the larger size.

My only thought is whether there will be a better deal next month or is it worth it to just take the enhanced trade in now that pays out same price for cracked devices. Total price for me is coming out to $237 + tax.

Any thoughts?
I'm in the exact same boat. Barely noticeable hairline crack on my tab s7+. I want to do it simply because they're giving full credit with the crack. Alsonhave the keyboard for the s7+ . Add the Healthcare discount and I'm at $285 + tax. Before the RK cashback. How did you get it down to $237?

Got the S8 last time around, stacked it with the $100 rebate from Honey.

Total was -$13.

Yes, they paid me $13 to buy the tab S8.

i saw it at $99 for the trade in like OP said, but it was either after i clicked the confirm for the trade in or actually selected my zip code to see about a pickup location it now goes to 150.
I dont think its worth the upgrade.
Same. $50 of taxes makes me think twice about it

This quote was from post #79 in case anyone wants more context.

Jocallagil, how did you to that trade-in process? I'm in the same boat with an iPad Air 2. I was waiting on a Black Friday deal (like another person mentioned) but seeing the trade-in offers on older tablets getting reduced makes me think the time to make a move is now.

How long did the entire process take? I ask since I can trade in the iPad Air 2 for $275 off the S7 FE, but I'm not sure if I would have enough to turn around and trade in the S7 FE for one of the S8 models.

For anyone reading this with an older iPad model, I would trade it in for the S7 FE. At worst you have a more modern tablet with a bigger screen. And at best, you can see what trade-in deals Smasung is running in the coming weeks and possibly trade the S7 FE in for an S8 variant. I would guess the older iPad trade-in value will drop more than the S7 FE in the coming weeks which makes getting the S7 FE deal now even more advantageous.

7 business days after its delivered. If they did not approve your device by then, contact support and they will manually do it. I am trading in my S7FE that I just got a week ago for the S8 Plus.

If you use PayPal and you have a Citi Double Cash Card, you can sign up for $20 credit when you spend $200 between now and December 31st.

Also, why pay extra for 256 gb when you can just add an SD card later if you need more storage.
Because external storage is inferior to internal storage in many ways. Even if you can install apps on external storage they don't act right. Highly recommend going for the 256gb

Low.

This is equivalent to the best deal when I traded my S6 for the S7 a couple years ago.

I've got an s7 plus tablet with a cracked screen. The problem is that the entire screen and digitizer is dead as well so the screen is black. The device powers on and you can see the clock when plugged into a monitor with hdmi. I cannot control it with a keyboard or a mouse to reset the device.

Samsung trade in will take $500 for it, but I'm not sure if they will accept my tablet. Anyone had this experience?

I have never heard of this. Apps on external devices not acting right? SD cards have come a long way and speeds are really fast. Maybe if you buy a cheap card it might not work optimally?
