Ryobi includes thermal sensors in their batteries to prevent possible explosion or damage to the battery.

Third party batteries skip all of this or do the bare minimum to ensure they won't overheat and combust.

The whole point of being in the Ryobi ecosystem is affordability.

If you're really trying to undercut an already cheap cordless power tool, go get a corded model and hook it up to a car battery.

From my experience with Ryobi , just go with the aftermarket third party batteries. I have both OEM and aftermarket, and they work just as well as batteries direct from Ryobi. The only thing you may want to consider is buying a high ah battery because sometimes the ratings are exaggerated, but you'll still come out ahead. You can probably get 2-3 batteries for the price of one Ryobi.

Each item is within these deals has its own line. Essentially the total price is broken up amongst each item so if you return one there is a price associated with each one. When you go to pick up you just tell them you don't want the other item and that line item value is what is refunded to you. Lowes handles their bundles differently and therefore you cannot do this option with them. HD is fully aware this happens and has recently changed their online purchase options to made it a bit more of a headache to do, although they still left it in play.

Agree, this is a great saw. Never had any issues with mine. I've also never even changed the blade out because the stock one works decent (that's usually the first thing I do on a saw like this). I'll wait until it dulls at this point and get my moneys worth!

After 5-7 days HD will automatically cancel the items, refund your card and put the stuff back into inventory.

ETA: Must order items to diffetent stores.

I can't even remember which ones I've bought. I have so many Ryobi 18v tools and batteries, that I don't even bother with the batteries anymore. Probably have at least 10-12 batteries.

You can ship the items to different stores and only pick up the tool (and letting the other pickup lapse) if you want to avoid the awkward return. I didnt try this myself but seems to let you checkout that way.

Absolutely. There are so many options, cheap batteries, quality is totally acceptable for home owners. Personally, I would buy one of the big bundles when they are on sale. It's cheaper than pieceing them out unless you really just want a drill and driver.

Best possible match to your situation, in my opinion. The quality is good, tool options are more numerous than any other lineup, and the deals are frequent, giving you opportunities to expand your collection, powered by the same batteries.

Ryobi's tools will typically not outperform more expensive tools in most use cases, but you won't need them to. You will just need them to perform reasonably for what you are doing, and they do that very well.
