This is an interesting coincidence (or maybe it was planned for the same publicity), the game's writer just filed a lawsuit yesterday against the studio/publisher.

Just got it from GOG last week, in 50 hours plus.

Game is a masterpiece, though understandably not for everyone. But here I go;

If you like Pinball ( don't ask, NO SPOILERS), board and card games, RPG's , reading books articles not just to read them but to investigate things,

You will fall in love with this game.

Interesting game with an interesting story. It's a slow burn. There's no combat (for the most part). Imagine an isometric, post-apocalyptic, sci-fi future Shenmue. I didn't buy it at full price but picked it up on sale for $20.00 or so, it was definitely worth it at that point.

I'm a Control owner on Steam and can see the 8.99 price, but when I try to check out it jumps up to $44.98, the discounted price for both,

Edit: The bundle now shows a $9.99 price for Control owners on one PC and $8.99 on the other, but attempting to purchase on either gives the full $45 bundle price. This deal is good through Nov 7 at 1pm, so I'll check back and see if they fix it.

This is true, however, I would say it's more a visual/perception by the user. It feels like the dialogue mechanics and gameplay effect is essentially the same as if it were combat -- hypothetically, overlaying different visuals/text but with the same underlying logic it would still feel the same. I'm not discounting their employment of it though, it's a great game and idea.

I just bought the bundle for the $8.99 + tax. I already owned Control Ultimate Edition, so I was buying Disco Elysium.

I played about 3 hours of this on the PS4. Didn't feel like i made alot of progress and then I died from depression when remembering my ex-girlfriend. Game's alright. Maybe i'll pick it up again.

Do you happen to have Control from Humble Choice in March 2021? That one is the base version of Control (i.e., no DLC/Ultimate Edition). This is the exact sequence of events for people who had Control from Humble Choice but wanted to buy the Control/Disco bundle.

Anybody think waiting on this to be part of a Fanatical or Humble is probably the better move? Or is it worth just supporting the dev at this price?

The art style looks interesting, but this looks more like an interactive graphic novel for your mobile phone, and not a game game. I guess a lot of people like to have control over the story they're reading.
