You're better off just purchasing a masonry drill bit that matches the screws you're using at the time when you're gonna hang things, specially if it's not something you'll do often.

Get a carbide tip for bricks and concrete.

I recently used these and they've worked well.

Be aware that the advertised tri-flat shank is ONLY for the two larger bits, the remainder in the caddy are smooth round shanks. I just returned mine this morning after buying it on the weekend

FYI the Dewalt black and gold set as well as Bosch came out in top in Project Farm's testing video. I bought the 14 piece version of the Dewalt set and it's been great drilling through steel.
