  • A world at stake. A quest for the ultimate prize. Are you ready?

  • When the eccentric creator of the OASIS dies, he leaves behind a series of fiendish puzzles, based on his obsession with the pop culture of decades past. Whoever is first to solve them will inherit his vast fortune—and control of the OASIS itself.

The movie cuts out half of the treasure hunt and starts well after where the book starts. There is a significant benefit to reading the book rather than watching the movie. Some of the big reveals will be anticlimactic if you've seen the movie (and the characters), but still worth it to fill in the rest of the story.

Player 2 isn't as good as the first, but I feel it is still worth the read.

Can't we keep the voting only related to the item and price? Down-voting a deal because you spent a few seconds on something you didn't want is childish and hurts the community that would be looking for this.... Close the page and move on with your life.

Not terribly so, but less of a race that the movie focused on. Gets most of the main points.

As someone who enjoyed the first one, Would not recommend the sequel book ready player two, unless you're really into Prince (musician references) and really obscure 80/90's references.

Thanks. With "the 100" the books were different enough that I enjoyed reading the books even after watching the show ( Usually I don't like watching/reading if I already know what happens).

10/10 one of my favorite books of all time. Don't judge the book by the movie. The movie is a 6/10 at best. Best $2 you'll ever spend.

I have the audiobook and it is one of my all time favorites. It is narrated by Wil Wheaton who narrates many books and makes it even better in my opinion.
