Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the 2242 ssd in this model used with an extension bracket on a 2280 slot?
I couldn't find any information on it, but if you find out post it here.

If both were same price?
Do not get that laptop you listed. The touchpad alone will drive you crazy! Bought one and returned it immediately. Way too sensitive registering taps as presses when scrolling

Had this laptop for 3 months before upgrading to a macbook on the recent Costco deal. Loved it while I had it, some answers for faqs i saw:

Battery life: (close to 10hrs) It dropped 10% per hour with moderate web browsing and Excel, but I never let it go below 30% so don't know past that
Screen: 300 nits is a bit low, but the screen is still gorgeous otherwise. The fact that it's matte makes it better outdoors than most
Gaming: ~140fps on League of Legends 1080p and ~80-90fps CS:GO on 900p stretched low. Might be able to push a bit further if you play with the power settings
Speed: Startup times and application start times are lightning fast, honestly faster than my M1 Pro Macbook.

I still have the laptop in case I want to revert back because right now it seems on par with my macbook despite the mac being much heavier. Hope this helps.

That appears to be the case:

Man ~$700 for a 13" laptop that has the graphics power of a 1060 inside it with tdp of 25w. Going to wait until we're deeper into the recession next year and snag this for $500 but great rig, what I always wanted.

I paid a little extra to get a 512GB SSD. Paid just a few dollars over $800 and also got free expedited shipping by signing up for rewards (will get a Legion gaming backpack with the rewards money!).

Overall this is a solid deal. I was looking for a lightweight yet powerful Windows laptop (NOT for gaming). I was about to go with Surface Pro 7 / 8, but Lenovo has a generous 30 day return policy so I decided to give this a try over Surface Pro because I'll never need to detach the keyboard from the screen so there's no real need for a tablet come laptop. The only real concern I have about all these non-Apple laptops is just how bad their speakers sound. Hopefully this one is at least passable.

One thing that's missing from this listing is the weight. Note that this laptop weighs about 2.75 pounds (lbs).

How's the fan noise by default/ intelligent cooling? I have the g3 amd of this model and the fan is not controlled properly. It likes to spin a lot even on light load and the fan speed change is annoying. Someone in reddit posted a tpfancontrol modifications that's designed for the g4 model. I tried it in my g3 and it works halfway which made it tolerable for me.

I ended up buying this after considering it for the last day. The specs just seem too in line with that I am looking for in my next laptop. It seems that all purchases made on Lenovo's site starting on October 15th are under the 'holiday return policy', so I have until early January 2023 to return it if I am unsatisfied or find a better deal elsewhere.

Which do you prefer to use? Seems like the Ideapad is better?

Been heavily debating this deal all day in my mind.
With student discount it comes out to $721.09 + I have the $100 AMEX offer. The thing that's got me hesitant is the screen size.
I'm not looking to get this for gaming, mostly for coding on the go and I do so now on a 14" Lenovo IdeaPad 3. This would be an amazing "for years to come" purchase, but that small screen =(
