Why the thumbs down? For $176 it doesn't seem like a bad deal to me. An extra 8gb of RAM and it seems like a good basic home PC as long as you can live with the small hard drive capacity. Can install an extra storage drive if needed.

I use it as a a PLEX server and it works great.

Yes, I was able to update mine. Pretty good performance for $200. ATX12VO power supplies seem really hard to get so don't expect to do much with this it the PSU goes outside of warranty

You do not need identical RAM. You can add to what is already in the desktop.

With ddr4 you can just throw in an additional one and they'll very likely run well. They will run at whatever one has a lower speed though. Linus did a video not long ago about it https://youtu.be/bTS0ybQ3lCI

Not bad for an htpc. I prefer the usff / micro size, but this wouldn't look too bad size wise. Pretty much plug and play.

I just bought my second one of these for the in-laws for email/basic web browsing. Got in previously at $30 more for my living room television computer and have had zero issues with it (including no noticeable fan noise sometimes noted in previous threads). No problems at all using kodi, VLC, office, solitaire, multiple open tabs etc...

I intended to upgrade the RAM to 16gb by adding another stick but haven't been able to justify it yet as it seems snappy enough as is.
