Why the thumbs down? For $176 it doesn't seem like a bad deal to me. An extra 8gb of RAM and it seems like a good basic home PC as long as you can live with the small hard drive capacity. Can install an extra storage drive if needed.

Yes. I have one and do lots of audio, video editing and Photoshop. It will run multi track recording software smoothly as long as you don't go crazy with plugins. I love this machine. Killer for the price. There is a bit of fan noise tho.

Anyone got specs on idle & max power draw from the wall (kill-a-watt)?

I like the $88 for it's super low power but dislike the external power supply.
