NVM answered my own question. Made In China... Garbage.. Save your $ for Eneloop or another good Japanese made brand.

These are really low quality garbage, so avoid. Bought 8 AA and 8 AAA a couple of years ago. They don't keep charge, drain quickly and need recharging often. I use Powerex Maha charger. BTW Powerex rechargeable batteries are even worse than these Amazon crap.

Eneloops are the only ones that have worked to my satisfaction.

Eneloop are the gold standard. I've had a bunch of regular eneloop and eneloop pro that are going strong for 6-7 years now. Granted I don't recharge them often but I haven't had any failed cells to my recollection either, and they've saved me many times their cost over the years. They also perform much better in high drain devices than anything other than hyper expensive disposable lithium, I always have batteries on hand, and it's good for the environment as well.

* THOSE INTERESTED SHOULD ALSO CONSIDER C + D cell spacers. You can put AAs into them and replace those batteries as well. Some D spacers run in parallel and can nearly match the capacity of a D cell as well without having to buy D rechargeables and a charger to handle them.

There's actually a 12 count for $13.52. Seems like a better deal

Very few people want to spend $100 for a battery charger. As far as rechargeable batteries are concerned, I agree that Eneloops are top notch as well as Energizer.

That's disappoint to hear. Just to make sure, you had these exact same ones? Amazon Basics Pre-charged / Low Self-Discharge ones?

Amazon also has the white/green non-LSD rechargeable batteries.

Also be careful of grey-market made in China Eneloops. So I would be wary of any Eneloops sold on eBay or Amazon Marketplace.

Chinese Eneloops dont' perform nearly as well as Japanese made ones.

Costco used to cell a kit with eneloops and various C & D spacers. I haven't seen this kit in a very long time. It was very useful. Never had to buy a C or D battery.

I didn't know such a thing existed (spacers). 43 years on the planet and learning something new every day. Thank you 😊

I BELIEVE the Ikea Ladda batteries have the same or nearly the same listed capacity, are made in Japan (or used to be), and are likely rebranded eneloops. I bought some for my sister last Christmas and she hasn't had any complaints. The 4 pack of 2450mAh AA (equivalent to the much more expensive eneloop pro) are only around $8.99 I believe, which is a quite a bargain if you have an Ikea nearby (and again, they're labeled made in Japan). I wouldn't buy Chinese rechargeables regardless of brand. Panasonic/Sanyo Japan has the process dialed in a makes an EXCELLENT rechargeable battery.

That's not necessarily true.
I've had both and the amazons hold up well for the money spent compared to eneloop.
