Yes, the previous FP deal was $50 cheaper but that was only for Prime members.
This is available for everyone and at $749, it's still a good deal for what it offers.

The adapter is of 90w and still barrel pin instead of USB-C. It supports USB-C power delivery but still no USB-C charger included in the box.

What's a comparable 3050ti laptop in this thin and light (~3 lbs) price range?

One can always add a 100W USB charger for 50 bucks from Amazon, I guess

And having a Barrel Pin Charger is actually a plus point as this laptop is only having one Type-C Port which, if used for charging, will block it for any other Type-C accessories, without a Type-C Hub or dock. In this way, I can use this laptop with the supplied Barrel-Pin charger without blocking the Type-C port.

In this price range, probably not much. I got a ROG flow last year with the same 3050ti, but that was just over 1k. I think this is a great deal, but YMMV always with Acer.

Bought this during the prime member sale. Ended up returning it. It just felt cheap, trackpad is plastic. Battery life is meh.
There are nice scripts and bios mods to push performance and improve quiet operation.
Fp reader was fast though

I was able to pick this up during the prime sale and I've been really impressed with it especially for the price. IMHO, the build quality is excellent (sleek & Solid aluminum body), and the trackpad is perfectly adequate. Haven't tested the battery at all yet. Currently playing Horizon Zero Dawn at 1080p med-high with no hiccups and doing so on a thin and light.
My model was built fairly recently too, it has a manufacturing date of July 26th 2022. This was surprising to me, I assumed that this particular model was initially released last year. I'm really happy with it so far. (*knock on wood*) It also came with Windows 11 and not Windows 10 as the listing describes.

This is the 2021 model. The 2022 model replaces the AC adapter with a 2nd USB C port, and it also has 2560p resolution compared to 1920p. Not full 4K (more like 2K), but terrific. Although I think the 2022 model sacrifices some battery time because of that.

I have this 2021 model and it's perfectly fine for medium level gaming. Nice, bright screen and runs everything but ray tracing. Horizon Zero Dawn, Bioshock Infinite, Doom Eternal all work great on medium through Ultra. One caveat is the lack of a 2nd USB C (which the 2022 model improved) and the AC adapter feels like it could snap off. The only other big thing is that the trackpad is lousy -- you don't glide and my finger snags. The rest of the build quality feels fine.

So a 3 pound gaming laptop with nice screen and good battery. So perfect for a price like this. Rather than getting a steam deck, I got this, which might have twice the weight, but more versatility.
