They will charge us today but ship in December? No thanks.
How else will they get the funds to build these? 😂

Looks good, but I wish it had the Ryzen 7 6800U with faster LPDDR5 RAM @ 5600-6400MHz vs DDR5 @ 4800MHz
Can the memory be overclocked on this motherboard? My assumption is no.

People who want a mini-PC are most likely not considering a form factor that large. The overlap is pretty small. This thing is barely bigger than a cable modem.

I really wished Alienware could continue their alpha line. Same size box but with gaming laptop guts. Consider an 500 dollar alpha box with 6800h and rtx 3050.(dell sales g15 laptop with those components for 700 dollars)

Thoughts on this vs the Beelink GTR 6900HX coming out?

Pretty comparable I think:

Price ends up working fairly similar and you don't have to build it yourself. I was looking at this exact option for my parents, but it prob makes sense just to get a pre-built for them rather than dealing with any issues that come from a build since I don't live in the same city

i.e.
- bad components / failure
- potential fit issues (could be mitigated)
- warranty on individual parts vs whole machine
- overall size is smaller on the minisforum/beelink type models, but you lose upgrade options to add a gpu later

I was researching this and the U series chips are quite a bit of performance compromise, but the 35-45w H chips are pretty competitive with budget desktops. (i3 at 65w/etc)

FWIW I was comparing in i3-12100 / 16gb / 1tb SSD type mini-itx build that came out to a little over $500.

I'd like to know the same thing. If someone can confirm if this comes with a Windows 11 Pro license, I am likely buying this.
Based on the previous thread, I would say that is likely no on a Windows license coming with a barebones setup.

I don't have one personally to vouch, but you can search through the other thread.

I ended up going with a lower end barebones um480 with the Ryzen 7 4800u for $270.

Seems like a good deal to me. Thanks OP.

I bought a Beelink SER5 two weeks ago on that Amazon sale and I think it's probably going back. Had a ton of issues getting random things worked out when setting it up which I was able to work through, but now when I am using it, suddenly the WiFi will drop completely and it says it cannot connect to any network until I've either restarted the computer or sometimes if I go into troubleshooting and reset the network adapter. Leaning towards it being a hardware issue.

A shame, because it was pretty cheap ($380 for a 5600H chip, 16gb RAM, 500gb SSD), but so far it has been a big headache Frown

I am considering this Minisforum deal, but I'm not going to do it if it doesn't come w/ a Windows 11 license. Total deal killer.

I don't think so... not without running into stability issues anyway
