If you live in Oregon or parts of Washington, you can get this for $25. I just did it (as well as my parents and in-laws) took about a week to get here but I hooked it up last night and its all good

Great deal! switching back to Ecobee from Nest since Google Home is so buggy it's practically unusable. Missed the old Nest app

Smart thermostats really won't save money over a cheap programmable one if you've taken the time to program a schedule. But they are convenient and allow some automation capability if you're into that.

Ecobee usually does black friday deals. There's no guarantee of course but i'm going to hold out with the hope they drop it to 200. Decent dealnif you need it this second though!

Doesn't hurt to just buy it now and re-buy if it happens to lower in price on BF. Holiday return policy is already in effect meaning u have until Jan 31, 2023 to return it.

Anyone have thoughts on whether this is worth it as an upgrade from the current Lite version? I use Google home, so Alexa isn't useful for me. Also already have a separate room sensor.

Bought 2 for new house. Best thermostat out there. Can do 2 stage heating, 2 stage cooling, and 2 aux. Let the board do the variable speed fan and I am all set!

Yea, I think so but pretty limited control... I had a discussion about this with my HVAC contractor. A majority of variable speed units are only going to be [fully] compatible with their respective proprietary thermostats. Ecobee, Nest, etc tend to only work with single stage and 2-stage.

Remember to check with your utility company too. National Grid has a $75 rebate on Smart thermostats. Not sure about other areas but I was able to get a check within a few weeks of claiming the rebate, just have to fill out a form online and send a picture of the receipt.
