You play as completely different characters in each game, so it's not quite a direct comparison. You play as War in the first and Death in the second (of the four horsemen of the apocalypse).

I've never played these, but I've been told that Darksiders is a LOT like Ocarina of a time in structure.

The two game is slightly different in gameplay mechanics. Their stories intertwined. And some chapters the story goes in parallels. Sometimes you want to go back and play the other.

It's like you play but at different point of view. War kicks off the story though.

This is the same with the original third game. The 3 stories intertwine. And you get to explore and experience the story from another perspective.

Having played both Darksiders and Ocarina I quite disagree with this statement. Don't go in expecting Ocarina.

Played a lot of Zelda games but I only played the first DarkSiders (Platinumed it too). It's like a Zelda games as in you have "dungeons" you can go into and later come back in order to access areas you couldn't before because you didn't have a skill or tool. And when you do solve a puzzle, it plays a chime in a similar way as Zelda's. You also have a Horse.

That's it. Everything else is its own thing.

Idk who made that comparison, but these games are absolutely nothing like Ocarina of Time.
