It looks and feels new. I happened to have a spare 8GB ram stick that I got on BF a couple years ago. I found videos online how to upgrade ram and add an sata ssd. It didn't feel particularly slow with just 4GB of ram, but with 12 GB it feels pretty good. Unlike with a retail version the HDD cage and SATA cables were not included, but I wrote a polite email to Acer and they sent me that. Now with $30 500GB Teamgroup SSD for storage 128GB m.2 drive doesn't seem bad.
With my 2 upgrades it does everything I need for $230.
Also I have USB-C driven external ASUS 15.6" display - I tried it and it works fine, so not sure about "1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C data only" - it supports video out in my case.

"Crucial Technology 8GB 260-Pin SODIMM DDR4 2400 MT/s (PC4-19200) Memory Module, CL17, Unbuffered, Du..." - the link to product in the email doesn't work anymore, this is all my order confirmation shows.
The package has this model number:
CT8G4SFD824A

I think other sticks should work too, I sort of remember RAM upgrade video had amazon links for compatible sticks

Note that whenever you have greater than 4GB ram total, it will reserve 2GB to video instead of only 512MB. So you probably should go all the way to at least 16GB sodimm.
Cheapest is requesting it from acer for free. you should try anyway even if there is a chance they might say no now.
They already said no via ebay. Unless you have alternate contact details I'll go with the two $3 cables I ordered from china..just trying to find a cheap bracket that fits...willing to bet the brackets are basically the same for ALL the acer lines.
