I signed up. Pretty easy. Even offers an option to link your checking account directly so that rent comes directly from your bank account and you still collect points.

My point is, there has to be a catch, otherwise I could declare myself my own landlord and shuffle $$ through Bilt just to scrape rewards. Seems like they would have thought of that scenario.
Didn't someone here say the 50k max points you can accumulate on one year is equivalent to $500? That's the catch, $500 a year is nowhere near worth that amount of effort
Does it treat ACH as debit transaction if using account/routing number for rent payment and earn cashback?
I had to check and didn't realize my rent payments were sent as ACH transfers. I asked discover and will reply with what I find out, I don't think they would qualify since ACH transfers and debit transactions are different.
There is a catch. You have to make at least 5 transactions that post to your account each statement period to earn points. I applied and was approved, just to find out this later. I thought it was just for the first statement, but no. If your plan was to get this card just to pay rent monthly, that will not get you any reward points by itself.
Its not true. I have been using the card since last august and there are certain months where I paid just rent and no other transaction and the points got posted fine. However, lets say if i made 3 transactions apart from rent then the points pertaining to those 3 transactions wont get posted unless I make a minimum of 5 transactions in a month. So, the clause of 5 minimum transaction for points on rent is either not strictly enforced or incorrectly described.
Mine came in on Christmas Eve. It's a well-BILT card; it's metallic and thicker than my Chase Sapphire Reserve. I wasn't expecting that. Already have the ACH account linked to my PayPal so that I can make my rent payments through it--you're able to do that the day you're approved. That said, you do have to add the account manually to PayPal with the account and routing numbers, it seems, so they have to do the two mini deposits to verify. BILT emails (and texts) you the amounts of each deposit so that you can complete it.
