Please be careful about when it says Rent Payments. Only specific rental companies are covered in it.Triple Check with your rental company if they accept it.
Is it possible to mail a check to the landlord using this? My landlord charges extra for ACH transfers?
Also while mailing the check is it possible to customize it - for examples specify the apartment number? Thanks.
Yes, this is what I do, mail a physical check. Can customize address and memo as much as you want
Tracking in app shows request date, print date, mail date, then tracking (city mailed from and when delivered), as well as a notification if it is or isn't cashed.
I was worried about my ability to use a check as well but it really is a smooth system
PS - Hilarious your landlord charges EXTRA for ACH when it is easier for them...all the more reason to send a physical check and make them work for it

I just paid my first rent using this. Got my card end of last month. My current place has a rental payment portal which allowed checking account or credit card payment with fees. Bilt has the virtual checking number and payment went through fine. No points yet though. We'll see if they really uphold their promise. They said they'll give points even if the rental is not part of their network
Not true at all.
You get a routing number and an account number and can either mail a check to your rental company, or provide the rounting/account number like a check to your online bill pay system.
I got a bilt card in April, so feel free to ask me any questions, def worth it for all the free points, and I got a bunch of referrals, so got a bonus 50k points too.
I just won't carry a balance on it.
You can pay with it but you will not get the points unless they can verify it's for rent. If you are renting from a guy who just own 2 family house and want to rent out 1 floor, those are not gong to qualify for points.
What are you using the points for? I have never had a card like this. I have the 2% Citi card, but I cannot use that on rent. Is there a place that can explain how the points equal the rewards? I see the amazon rewards, but what is the points-to-dollar ratio?
I pay my rent online through RentCafe. If I use a credit card they will charge $5 Service Fee. It says the service fee covers bank, payment agent, and processing network fees to ensure the safety and security of your transaction.
If I apply for this card and get approved - will they also charge the $5 service fee. Please let me know if anyone used the card through online payment.

1 point = $0.007, so 1000 points will translate to $7.
The points would be better used for travel especially transfer to travel partners.

Bilt provides an ACH and account number so you can use it as a bank account for rent payment purposes. You can avoid the service fee that way.

add the card to amazon where you can buy stuff with the points
So then how do they verify you are actually paying rent and not just MS? MEaning, "yeah Joe Blow is my landlord" so I send him $2k/mo, get points, don't pay any fees, then just siphon that back to me. Seems too good to be true.
T&C are somewhat vague:
One point per $1 spent on rent paid through the Bilt App with your card account up to a maximum of Fifty Thousand (50,000) points each calendar year. If your rent payment is less than $250, you will earn 250 points for that rent payment. Note, rent payments can only be made to one rental property per month.
Cardholders may not separate qualifying net purchases or rent payments into multiple transactions for the purpose of earning more points than would otherwise be available through a single transaction.
So, I can "rent" from myself to rack up points?
Yes, send yourself "rent pay" and then pay tax on it for 50k maximum points a year. That sounds like wallstreetbets logic but I guess slickdeals isn't really much different.
Slickdeals basically promotes "buying things you don't need on a sale to save money"

What's the redemption point / $$$ (gift card/ statement credit, etc) conversion?
i have the card as well and i'm watching the points pile up just for paying rent; points that i would not have otherwise and will almost certainly get redeemed on amazon. my only issue is having to make 5 transactions per month....easy to do but more of a distraction that anything. i guess a couple of ice cream cones at mcdonalds, a couple of pizza slices at sams, and a $1 amazon refill works.
Lol just use the card as you would other cards 5 times. Why do you have to go out of your way to get the cheapest possible purchases on this card?
There was a post on here about 2 weeks ago alerting everyone to look for fraudulent purchases on their BILT Card from "Marion Parke" and "dhgate.com."
Woke up this morning to a slew of charges on my BILT Card from Wayfair.com and Cashstar @ Starbucks.
Luckily I have notifications enabled so I caught these immediately. Called in, reported the charges, WF closed the account and reissued my card. I will have a new one in about 7 days.
No idea how my card was compromised. It is sock drawered, and has 5 recurring charges per month on it from the following merchants:
Microsoft x2, Experian, Napster, + Apartment's rent portal.
I just wanted to send out a PSA to the BILT Card holders on this subreddit to check their cards.
