I follow some card rewards/points forums and bilt has a lot of fraud issues lately. Some card holders are reporting fraud, having a replacement card shipped, and then having more fraud occur on the new card before it's even been received.
Granted it's not everyone, but the chance of being the unlucky ones having to dispute fraud and having to wait for replacement cards can be a real PITA.
Card issued by Wells Fargo, who once charged me more than a dozen consecutive overdraft fees (one for every single transaction over a holiday weekend) before crediting the transfer I had initiated on their website—before any of the purchases were made—from my linked savings account. That was almost a quarter of my life's savings at the time (broke college student). My local branch manager flatly refused even to inquire whether corporate would allow any reversal of the charges, so I took all my remaining money to a credit union and have warned people away from WF at every opportunity since.
I don't pretend any other big bank is more ethical, per se, but in my experience they at least have better customer service.
If they give your a routing and account number can you get checks made using those so you can give check rent payments?
Since it specifically says ACH, which I assume means electronic transfers, I'm not sure if a paper check would flag in the system as potential fraud if it's not coming through electronically. But I don't know enough about ach vs paper check to say with certainty.

When I was younger had the same exact thing happen. Wrote an email to all the banks board members explaining the branch manager refused to even look into it. One of the executives assistants reached out to me and reversed the charges and noted they would counsel the branch manager.
it is like any other credit card, pay the balance in full and by the date and there is no interest. otherwise, like pretty much everything else in the world, there is interest.
Will the rent payment treated as cash advance resulting in interest as soon as it is drawn as suggested by another poster?
Thank you.
Still a bit of hazzle to convince my partner as the rent check sent via USPS!
Even if I had it mailed in advance mid of the months, I still have to check with the landloard - they are not there usually (I might have to find some hrs that they are there!) - they see people by appointment.

I have this card, I love it, I also have a CSR card, it uses the same expedia portal, but at 1.25 vs my CSR which is 1.50.
You can game this card really well to just amass a ton of points and for those of us that pay $$$ in rent, it's basically a free $700 each year. They do a 'rent day' each month on the 1st where there's a 4x and 6x multiplier on most transactions for points.
I don't carry a balance, so I'm def a bad customer for them.
If you don't carry a balance and you pay $2k in rent, how many points can u accrue in a yr?
Everyone offers:
Trip cancellation and protection
Trip delay reimbursement
Auto rental collision damage
Theft and damage protection
Is BILT any better?
*PRIMARY* rental is rare and usually carries an AF. Don't book trips on this card, use a Chase Sapphire for that. Use this for rent only and pocket points. My rent is over 5k, so I'll make $750 a year in travel effortlessly, more if I transfer to the right flights on AA.

i feel you. all banks cheat that way and pretty much everyone has had a similar experience although maybe not quite as painful as yours. small stuff has happened to me over 20 years ago and i still haven't forgotten it so i know what you mean.

have you forgotten we are on sd? does that even sound right to you, we are going from paying our rent ach and interest free to paying ca fees and paying interest on day one and you believed that? if this were a cash advance (one of the most despicable and dishonest credit card transactions around) this wouldn't even a thread and would have 5 tds; c'mon.

Read yours twice and still could not make sense of what you trying to say .

So on Expedia, 20k points is equal to $250?
