It is not hard. For me, it is more of an inconvenience. I have a 3% cash back card that I use for everything else. Unless I can find a way to automate these 5 transactions, I might forget to do it manually some months.
3% cash back on all purchases? can you share what this card is?

It was my US Alliance Visa Signature card. But since January 1st 2023, they no longer offer 3% on all purchases but instead 6% on groceries and 2% on everything else. It was good while it lasted.
What's the business model here? No one is giving away free money. They're making it off of (collective) you somehow. When you use a credit card there are fees to be paid. Makes you wonder ... why are you able to pay your rent but not a mortgage? Could it be that homeowners are less likely to run a balance, so Bilt is willing to eat the fees for renters because they're betting that renters will carry a balance at minimum of 21% (and up to almost 30%)? At 21% their investment in you, in the form of you carrying a balance with them will double every 3.4 years. Yes, your $2,000 rent you put on the card today will become $4,000 you have to pay them back in a little over three years. At 30% it only takes less than 2.5 years for the $2,000 you owe them to become $4,000 that you owe them, Debt enslaves you.
Beyond that, Bilt is issued by the most unscrupulous of banks: Wells Fargo. Never met anyone who did business with Wells who wasn't kicking themselves after. There's no deal here unless you absolutely have the financial self-discipline to pay it off every month.
Get the US Bank Altitude Go card for dining: 4% back. Get the Costco Visa for fuel: 4% back travel: 3%, secondary rental car coverage, and double warranties. Get the Chase Freedom card for 5% on quarterly categories: 5% back on groceries right now. Or Amex Blue: No annual fee for the first year and a whopping 6% back on groceries. Get the Fidelity Visa for everything else: 2%. And churn the hell out of those sign-up bonuses. There are much better ways than this card. Wells Fargo: Blech.

Well they own my mortgage so why not get some points for my warehouse rental. My landlord jacked up my rent to $12,600 a month so will need 3 months of 5 transactions and be done with it. Wells offered $1,500k bonus for business checking with $5k deposit so I got that as well. While I was in branch setting up the checking account they gave me $20k business card 0% interest for 12 months and $500 sign up bonus after I spent $3k. So far have not noticed any fraudulent activity. Was paid all the bonuses. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones. The points are worth way more than $.007 people are calculating. The 50k points is almost an one way business class flight to Tokyo on JAL via AA redemption which is 60k plus $5.60 in taxes. Pay rent for 2 years and you got yourself a fancy trip to Japan. That's worth $3k-$4k each way so at least $.05 per point. Blowing it on Amazon is not the way. The 3x dining is actually compelling especially if you are an AA flyer as NO other card with transferable currency transfers to AA let alone 3x earn. AA's own card is only 2x for dining. I wonder how they were to assemble the impressive list of transfer partners as the other banks issue cobranded AA, BA and UA cards. This is a decent card especially since there's no annual fee. Will have to pick it up to compliment the other travel cards.
I have this card, I love it, I also have a CSR card, it uses the same expedia portal, but at 1.25 vs my CSR which is 1.50.
You can game this card really well to just amass a ton of points and for those of us that pay $$$ in rent, it's basically a free $700 each year. They do a 'rent day' each month on the 1st where there's a 4x and 6x multiplier on most transactions for points.
I don't carry a balance, so I'm def a bad customer for them.
does it count as credit card? coz on my rent there's a 3.5% fee if you use credit card which makes this invalid if they will count this as a credit card

It acts more like a bank than a credit card for rent payments, they give you a routing number and account number that you can enter into rentcafe or whatever portal you use, OR you can have bilt mail them a check each month like your bill pay with your bank. So you'd avoid that 3.5% fee.
its garbage, the APR is ridiculous, they dont give u an intro APR promotion.
no one here cares about the apr; that's the whole purpose of using this for rent payment. pay your rent in full each month and you don't care about the apr.
Got an email that the March 1 "Rent Day" benefits include 50% more value when paying with points on Amazon. Normal value is 0.7 cent/point so that should mean 1.05 cent/point. Not fantastic, but not terrible either if you want to convert the points to something close to cash.

You should not be getting a card for the intro APR. You should not even be carrying a balance.

good card. no annual fee. price protection. a discontinued feature from discover..will give it a try.
So then how do they verify you are actually paying rent and not just MS? MEaning, "yeah Joe Blow is my landlord" so I send him $2k/mo, get points, don't pay any fees, then just siphon that back to me. Seems too good to be true.
T&C are somewhat vague:
One point per $1 spent on rent paid through the Bilt App with your card account up to a maximum of Fifty Thousand (50,000) points each calendar year. If your rent payment is less than $250, you will earn 250 points for that rent payment. Note, rent payments can only be made to one rental property per month.
Cardholders may not separate qualifying net purchases or rent payments into multiple transactions for the purpose of earning more points than would otherwise be available through a single transaction.
So, I can "rent" from myself to rack up points?
I just got it and paid rent by using the account number and routing number with my rental company's online portal. They do not belong to Bilt clients.
