Please be careful about when it says Rent Payments. Only specific rental companies are covered in it.Triple Check with your rental company if they accept it.

Not wholly accurate. Bilt will provide ACH account details or even mail a paper check to landlords that don't take credit cards or charge fees.
Potentially? You could use bilt's rent portal to mail yourself a check at a different address to a different name in order to get the points? It's a bill pay portal similar to your online bank. I imagine it would get flagged if you mailed a check to your same address and made it out to yourself. So if you have an SO with a different last name, make it out to them and mail it to their work?
And to get around the 'you need 5 transactions a month to earn points', I just buy 5 x $1 amazon gift cards each month.
I know you can mail the check to yourself if it's made out to someone else.
Just confirming, can the bilt mastercard be used to pay for college dorm housing fees (not tuition)? My son is starting college in the fall and I'm considering getting this card if we can use it to pay for college housing payments.

Real talk, many colleges won't let you. EVERYTHING involved with college dorms including housing fees for my daughter required a bank transfer. No credit cards accepted, not even this one.
Edit: if your son rents a place off-campus not ran by the college it may have a higher chance of this card working.

You should be able to use BILT's ACH account for paying college dorm rent.
I have not tried it myself but on their app i could find the following as acceptable places to use their ACH account (Bolding is mine) -
HOA Fees
Security Deposit
Electric Bill
Gas Bill
Water Bill
Condo Fees College Living/University Housing (not paid as part of tuition)
Internet
Cell Phone Payment
Application Fee
there is diminishing value in this if your rental company doesn't accept this. They provide a means to use a proxy checking account to make payments or send a check on your behalf, but you'll get less rewards (though still free). I don't recommend getting this card for the check method though, because it is a tight window for it to be sent in time. depending on when you are billed for the month
i use this. building up a bunch of points that can be used on amazon so it's better than nothing. you have to make 5 small charges a month to keep it going....

Good point.
My son's management company changed in Jan. They had different payment options...no cc
Due to setting up the bank, we paid a little late 1/16, and were charged a late fee. Therefore, it's always good to know the grace period.

Yes; Source: Mark Reese via YouTube. Just type in "Bilt Credit card" on youtube and his video along with many others will pop up explaining the benefits you get with the card and how it can be used.

Contact their customer service to be sure.
Does it really help increase credit?
I looked into this and I thought it was just their properties.
If it's an ACH, then one can pay a mortgage on it, too, I would assume.
