Please be careful about when it says Rent Payments. Only specific rental companies are covered in it.Triple Check with your rental company if they accept it.
Do anyone know how fast ACH is with Bilt? How far in advance will I need to submit to make rent on time? By doing this, would my rent just be charged on my Bilt account and then I pay it off monthly like a regular credit card?
ACH is as fast as any other bank and scheduling is the same as any other bank too. You have an option to pay via BILT Protect which deducts payment from connected Bank account t and doesn't post transactions to your credit card so your credit limit won't be used.

Not true. their FAQ states "If you rent outside of the Bilt Rewards Alliance, you can pay rent directly through your property's online payment portal without fees by using a Bilt Rent Account. For this payment method, we'll generate a unique routing and account number for you to use in your resident portal. Whenever your unique routing and account numbers are used to pay rent, we'll charge your Bilt Mastercard for the same amount. That way, you earn points on rent without paying the processing fees normally associated with using a credit card in an online payment portal! You can also use BiltProtect to immediately pay off any rent charges on your Bilt Mastercard Statement, keeping more of your credit line available for everything else."
Anyone using this to send a physical check to the landlord? How reliable is this method? Do the checks ever get misplaced. Anyone missed rent because of Bilt? Thanks.
I asked my landlord to check the first 2 months to make sure they got it. Bilt will send you an email when the check is processed and sent. They will then send another email when the check is cashed. They also send you reminders if the check is not cashed. You can then check with you landlord to confirm if they got the check or not, etc.
I saw that they are offering a Fedex option now which should ensure better delivery, but you have to pay for it. I have not tried this option yet.
funny how so many people decide to take the hard way to make this work for them. literally nothing has changed for me from the time before i got bilt to after i put bilt in place to pay rent. part of the reason why most people don't bother with the program is it's too much work. it doesn't have to be.

Not true. 2 alternatives, that is 1) check can be mailed out, 2) credit card will set up alternative debit account for you that is link to your CC. This will give your account# and routing#. However this debit alt account can only be used for rent.

I use it for my rent and my rental company is not a covered company, it generates bank routing number and bank account number that link back to your card. So if your rental company accepts ACH payment, you are good
Buy i dont want to use for 6 transactions… can we order something and cancel that. Will it be counted?
You have an oddly narrow way of understanding how the world works. Nothings free, when things are presented to you as being free, the reality is they're recouping those costs elsewhere, somehow that doesn't directly affect you.
I've had good experiences with the card. Early on I had a printed rent check that never showed up, but getting that canceled and credited was pretty straightforward, and it's quite possible that it's USPS's fault rather than Bilt's. I switched to using the ACH info and payments have been flawless since. (My building is not part of the Bilt Alliance.)
Worth mentioning that they've run some promotions on "Rent Day" (in addition to extra points on purchases other than rent), where one Bilt point could be transferred to Hawaiian Airlines mile at 1:2 ratio instead of 1:1, and a similar deal recently with Air France / KLM. That's quite a generous transfer ratio, fingers crossed they run similar promos in the future with American and United. One unique feature of Bilt is that AFAIK they are the only bank points program that can transfer to AAdvantage; not even Citi (which issues AAdvantage cards) offers the ability to convert their Thank You points into AAdvantage miles.

Thank you for the experience. Appreciate it.
Is there a way to check if the landlord is part of BILT alliance? How do you know what are the members of then Bilt Alliance? Thx.
