Imagine being the family member of a service member. As a kid, you are uprooted every 2-4 years and forced to go to new schools and be the new kid over and over. As a spouse, you are prevented from career progression. Every time you move, you have to do job interviews for a new job that may not be as good as your last one. The entire family never really unpacks all the way because you know you will be forced to pack up again. That's not to even mention the stress of having a service member in a combat zone. Are they going to be okay? Military service is stressful to entire families, not just the service member. Thank you to all members of military families.
Are people really that insecure that they need approval from strangers here to use a coupon? It's nobody's damn business what someone's family history is, especially on a deal site. Why even share it. If Target grants a coupon based on their own verification process, then you are qualified to use it. Everyone else can take their opinions about it and F off.
It quite literally says, "Thank you to military personnel, veterans and their families!"

I just remember all of the fights that this coupon started last year, about whether it was okay for family members of the military member, or just the military member themselves to use the coupon. And, the question of if you could use this coupon if your family member died serving this country in the military.

I know, but last year people ignored that. My parents died in a fire, and my uncle who was in the military took care of me as if I was his own daughter, he died last year of cancer, and people on the post last year gave me a ton of shit for using this coupon. Saying that I had no right to use it, because I wasn't in the military.

Thanks to the families. You still can't use that 10% off though lol

The giver gets to make the policy as I remember.

Are we entitled somehow and are right to demand discounts? I think not.

Fellow family members of veterans: go to Target.com with the DD-214 and enter in pertinent details. Then order whatever you want for in store pickup. Don't have to deal with stupid cashiers. If you haven't already, do the same for HomeDepot.com to get your military discount QR code.

Edit: For Target.com, it's under Account, Settings and scroll down. It's labeled " I'm a service member or dependent"
