Generally, coffee drinkers need coffee makers, espresso drinkers need espresso makers.

This is great price if you are looking to get Jura.
I got it from Costco at $1300 few months ago.
Good machine but did not work for me.
First, the color. Did not do well with my wife.
It is narrow but long. Sticking out from under upper cabinets.
But I did like the clean design.
Constant cleaning is automatic.using a lot of water for small tank. For some it is good but I did not like it. Especially when coming back for more coffee between meetings right on time for rince and shutdown process.
The most annoying was using occasional ground coffee. Many times machine forgets about it and starts grinding from the hopper instead of using preground decaf.
Had some piles of ground coffee in the tray too.

Fully automatic? Integrated grinder? Integrated one button push cappuccino and other drink maker?

It's a good one. We keep using it every day. Totally worth the price.

I am getting regular (way too many) espresso infusions from my Jura ENA 4 for the last 10 years, incredible value

I know it's an apples vs orange question but how does this compare to pour over with a V60 or aeropress? Any aficionados have an opinion?
Aside from the availability of thereabouts "proper" espresso + espresso-based milk drinks, it's 1-push "bean to cup". Can't beat that convenience, but it comes at a $$ cost…

I know, I am just wondering if this machine is worth it for me as someone who only drinks coffee and not espresso.
In that case absolutely not worth it.

I doubt this espresso machine (or any espresso machine for that matter) will make a consistently better cup of coffee than your dialed in V60, where you can adjust for what beans you are using.

Still on Ena4, grinding for the past 15years. Best investment ever considering also that I got it for $500 at TJ Maxx.

I have a Philips 3200 LatteGo. Would this be an upgrade? Or significant enough one for the price?

Also, any experience with this machine and oily beans? Or stay away from them?

If you like coffee...get a coffee maker. Seriously. Save $1000, get a decent grinder and you'll be very happy with whatever method you want: pour over, French press...
For me, I love espressos but also just really like coffee. I used to have a decent percolator Bunn machine, but bought the $600 Phillips automatic (manual frother on the side, not the Latte Go version.)
I've had easily 1,500 cups of coffee/espresso in the time I've had it, and love it as much as day 1.
I'm not a huge coffee snob, but I do like and can tell a good cup.

I tried tap water! And my saeco died, and now I'm rocking a semi auto espresso maker …. with bottled water 😆

Distilled or RO if you don't want scale and fouling up. Bottled is often times purified tap water only. It'll still have scale and foul up your machine over time. We use a jura at work with RO water (15 + years and still works with 2-5 cups/day.)

No mine is manual, I need to grind the coffee and steam the milk manually.
But my question is just around around the espresso. Is the espresso from this machine far superior in taste than cheap machines like DeLonghi or Gaggia Classic pro ?
Seeing as how the delonghi is an entry level bare bones machine with low end portafilter, inconsistent pressure and temps, and tbr gaggia classic is an over priced manu machine with no PID and requires modifications to make GOOD espresso, then I'd say this makes equivalent espresso at least.

Those are two very entry level basic machines.

Will this make better coffee than delonghi magnifica? I paid $500 for that and I don't really care for the taste. I would love to buy this jura if the taste is right
