I have had a front loader since 1999 and never had leaks. My first GE washer was working fine until 2015 and I sold it and bought a bigger GE one. I still have it and works great.
Just got the kenmore pair from the last deal....trying a top loader this time, and so far it's strange (we never had a problem with the front loader)
I have a whirlpool cabrio that I've had going on 6 years. Been wonderful, large spacious etc and steam is nice.
Had one issue where hot/steam started squeaking. It was a little water replaceable inlet that is 25 on amazon, you just popped up the little control panel, few clips and switches boom done
Funny, called people and they said on phone "washers are throw away, just buy a new one"
Yeah, ef that.
Also, my refrigerator I bought 7 months ago, it did have an issue, a fan quit working so wasn't cooling fridge.
People on phone said I needed new fridge and wasn't serviceable, lg sent tech out, a 20 dollar fan fixed it
still afraid to go with front loader, a good percent of folks report leaks
Nah. I had a front loader for 10 years and current. No leaks. And when it leaks, it's just due to overload, which the clothes pushes against the door. Also have to keep an eye on the rubber gasket to ensure it's in a good condition. Aside from that, Zero maintenance on a front loader. If you are in a condo, ensure you have a pan, which I believe modern day complexes includes one with a pan draining to a port in case a fail washer.

Does anyone know if you need to buy a stacking kit to put dryer over washer (or if they can be stacked)? $800 for a washer/dryer set installed (with a 2 year warranty) seems great
Odds this is beat on Black Friday? It's so close to the price match range!
why does everyone think black friday is like the holy grail of all discounts? it's basically a marketing event for low end junk plus Costco never participates in it!
