I have had a front loader since 1999 and never had leaks. My first GE washer was working fine until 2015 and I sold it and bought a bigger GE one. I still have it and works great.

Anyone else have no gas hookup for the dryer ? Not sure what to do given that's my only option.

Also have to keep an eye on the rubber gasket to ensure it's in a good condition. Aside from that, Zero maintenance on a front loader. If you are in a condo, ensure you have a pan, which I believe modern day complexes includes one with a pan draining to a port in case a fail washer.

I believe it's due to the new policy if you are in California they are removing the gas and strictly electric.
