The Ones *might* get an update sometime next year but, like all Sonos speakers, they can be moved to other rooms, used as single speakers, paired with another Sonos sound bar. I moved play:1s around until I finally accepted I had too many speakers and need to sell some. Being able to group every single speaker together and play music in sync all over the house is probably the best selling point of Sonos.
