Correct me if I'm wrong... But don't a lot of stores prohibit buying gift cards with anything but cash and debit?

From what I've seen on here, people report not being able to buy large quantities at once and need to spread the transactions over a long time period or at different stores. Something to do with triggering each store's fraud system.
