If it's not broken don't bother why take the risk on a new model that could give you issues.

I bought this set about a week ago when it was on sale for $800. Gonna try to get a price match for each but not sure if they will accept it since it's separated out.

But about the dryer, those that are complaining about it not fully drying the clothes didn't read the manual and notice the default mode is "energy saver" that uses less heat and takes 40+ minutes longer. Not sure how that saves energy when down here in Texas gas is much cheaper than electricity but I immediately turned that feature off and now it drys clothes great.
Much better than my 10 year old Samsung front loader gas dryer anyway.
It doesn't have a stainless steel drum but for the price it does the job great.

I bought it 2 weeks ago at $399.97, it's working well so far. Drying time reduced from 3+ hours from my old dryer to 1 hr. Hope the price adjustment goes through as it shows out of stock in my area now.

Same.

Hopefully it goes through since I purchased the set and these are separated out.
Guess we will see in 5-7 days.

Some review mentioned the dryer's top surface is not horizontal so you can't place things on it. Is that true?

On the Costco.com site, I selected "Customer Service" and then the link for "Price Adjustment - Costco.com Orders".
On that page there is a link to Request a Price Adjustment.
I didn't get an email confirmation or anything so I may try via chat as well.
I may also go back and do two separate price adjustments, one for the washer and one for the dryer.

Let me know if you get the adjustment..

Tried via chat and was unsuccessful. They said the dryer can't be matched because it was purchased in combo with washer

Wonder what they would say if you threaten to return the set and reorder them individually?

The gas dryer shows as in stock but the washer isn't....yet.
If I can get both ordered and a delivery date setup, then I should be able to just call them and have them match the price otherwise initiate a return for the existing set.
Seems like they would rather match the price than get stuck with a return.

have a 12 year old samsung thats making clanking noises while running now, wondering if I should pre-emptively replace it. Is this dryer halfway decent? Id rather not have to replace it in a few years and just spend a bit more for something good

Dryer makes a weird buzzing noise during the cycle, not sure if that is normal.

The dryer (I tried it both energy saver and regular mode), doesn't seem to dry well. I would do a normal cycle and have to run another time cycle (around 7 more mins on high), and then it dries.

Has anyone been able to find a matching washer for this? I ordered the $399 Whirlpool set, but thinking this would be a really good second set.
