If only that were true, I'd happily buy it. Unfortunately they have managed to take huge steps backward over the past couple years. I bought M23 and tried to play in Face of the Franchise mode. I only made it 8 games. Some highlights from those 8 games:

- No way to see standings during the season
- Giant rectangular monolith showing up in the middle of the field during gameplay
- At least one interception per game that goes through a receivers head/chest and into a defender's hands
- Regularly losing connection to EA server and getting booted to main menu
- Camera randomly facing wrong direction, making it impossible to run a play
- Found a money play almost immediately that allows my QB to rush for 400 yards per game
- File got corrupted and my season disappeared. Fin.

I've already deleted it. I wouldn't recommend playing this even if you get it for free. I've been playing since Madden 94 and this is, by far, the least fun I've had with the game.

What do you want the game developers to do? Change the rules and methods of football for you and release them in a game every year?

Thanks for this. I had a 30 yr franchise going since Madden 15 that finally maxed out. Was gonna jump on this deal but this review plus others kinda is cause for concern.
