Menards has US made knives for those interested (example below), also they have a 6" knife for $1.77 normally $4.99, but no you don't get free shipping which is listed below. I know someone commented to me before that US made cost more and Slickdeals is about the cheapest option, but for those that may not be in the know and care....just sharing.

Menards - 6" Import (likely China) https://www.menards.com/main/tool...c-8951.htm

Menards - 6" US Made $9.77 https://www.menards.com/main/tool...619&ipos=6

Been waiting to buy this. Didn't know flexible was so important when it came to either scraping or applying.

Yes you can. Flexible knives are what the pros use.

yes but if doing a larger area, you may prefer a 12" version and a mud pan

I'm getting these for making chopped cheese/cheese steaks and scraping off smash burgers from cast iron skillets

Seems the 5" flex handle at $2.60 is the best deal. Is it worth getting one of each?

To be fair, no pro uses a taping knife under 6" for regular compound work.

That would take forever.

8"-16" carbon steel is a better option, but they do require proper cleaning and oiling after each use. Otherwise, they rust out and become useless in under 24 hours.
