A $1000 HP Omen below has a 16.1" QHD (2560 x 1440) 16:9, 165 Hz 3 ms, 300-nits, 100% sRGB

Yet everyone is here on a 13" $450 laptop complaining about a 300nit screen way more. It's like there's an inherent need for people to find some spec to pick apart no matter what.

This would be a great cheap laptop for my basic needs in addition to my desktop & work laptop. I say this as the guy who doesn't need it because I went with a beautiful 4K screen over processing power a couple of years ago.

Great deal, but be careful with the Thunderbolt ports. They stop being reliable after daily use.

This seems like a great deal for last year's well reviewed ultraportable with 16:10 aspect ratio and matte screen. Yes, you are making compromises. Lower brightness, lower res screen, ddr4 ram instead o ddr5, last year's cpu...but the pricing compensates for it imho and as a bonus comes from costco.

What goes wrong? I've been running a 1070 eGPU connected to a 2015 iMac 4k for over 5 years without a problem.

That's 300 nits, pretty respectable at this price point.. 250 is the unacceptable one in my opinion.. 300 is manageable except if you're in direct sunlight!
Any other reason why you think it is crap?

Screen is fine for the price. I'm waiting for <$400 for BF.
