Best keyboard I own, has all the functions I need. Worth $180? I don't think so anymore, I found one brand new in a pawn shop for $40 a few weeks ago.
Managed to average down my buy in!
Do you have the clicky version? The reason I posted the deal is because usually the clicky is the most expensive model. The linear/tactile are both around the $210-240 mark.
I clicked on Amazon and CapOne price check offered me 30% back on their CB! So I clicked and got it at Dell instead @189 using my 10% back Amex offer too and will get 11$ in Dell Rewards as well.
I've this keyboard for a year or so. PErsonally I was okay with spending $$ since I wanted the best. I moved from Logitech mechanical and pretty happy with it.
you can probably get a cheaper keyboard and not commenting if this should be worth $180, but I enjoy it.
Only thing I miss is the palm rest so got it separately and use a desk matt so it's a bit elevated
I own a linear tkl and a clicky full size. Love both. I prefer clicky but when sitting on the couch the gf doesn't wanna hear the clicks so I game on the couch with the linear tkl
I've had the G815 linear version for a little over a year now. I had been using Logitech Gaming Software for like 10 years, but had to switch to G Hub when I bought this keyboard, as LGS does not support it. After I got used to the software differences, it was smooth sailing. I have loved this keyboard and it's stupidly easy to clean (I bought it because I broke the Enter key bar while cleaning my G105... lol).
I can't speak to the wireless version, but I would definitely recommend the wired version and any features that overlap between the two!
How does it compare with the MX mechanical? Those are only $170.
I was considering the same. From what I've read, being a gaming keyboard G915 has less latency, flashy RGB light. But I doubt I can tell the difference when gaming in term of latency. MX Mechanical is more for productivity, it can connect to multiple devices and can switch between devices easily. Both keyboards have Kailh switches I believe, which is OK, they make possibly second best switches after MX Cherry. MX mechanical has the Kaihl v2 which looks more durable to me. For me, the deal breaker for G915 is the symbols on number keys are very hard read. It will be very annoying because I do plan to use if for both work and gaming. I've decided to get a MX mechanical. Waiting for it to go on sale.
