I'm not sure why this isn't getting more attention. Its $200 cheaper than the front page deal from a few days ago, https://slickdeals.net/f/16120087-49-lg-49wq95c-w-ultrawide-5120x1440-144hz-nano-ips-monitor-1197-free-s-h. Also, with BestBuy and Amazon you have until Jan 14th / Jan 31st to return it if it doesn't work out.

Edit: Pulled the trigger since it checks off the boxes I wanted, namely that it has a built in KVM and USB-C power delivery. Been wanting to reduce cord clutter and replace my dual monitor setup.

Short answer is the Alienware is more geared toward gaming while this LG is primarily an office monitor with some nice gaming features (like 144hz and FreeSync/G-Sync). For me, even if the price were the same, I'd pick this monitor for the slightly wider aspect ratio (replaces two actual 27inch QHD), USB-C w/ Power Delivery, and KVM features. I plan to do mostly work on it, with maybe a few minutes of Rocket league if the 4 kids ever leave me the hell alone.
Wish they'd list the height and width rather than diagonal - these utrawide's fail for me because the screen height is hopelessly small

When this monitor is connected to two computers via two input ports, can the screen be divided into multiple areas to display content from two computers at the same time?

Do users need to press a button to switch from one computer to another for user interaction via keyboard/mouse?

Further, can it do picture-by-picture (PBP) or picture-in-picture (PIP)?

If it can do PBP or PIP, can the mouse cursor move across boundary?

Thanks.

I was considering this monitor or maybe the G9 neo. Currently have a Samsung 43" (3840x1200) and I'm super happy with it, with the excepting of lacking a little bit of vertical real estate for some work apps. But... I found myself ending up on the 48" LG C2 for $50 more than this - same width as my 43", but with 80% more vertical resolution and, of course, the oled goodness.

In any case, this looks like a really good price for what looks to be an awesome monitor. I was literally about to pull the trigger on it, then decided to see what else was out there that could better fit my use case.

Just wish this had firmware that would let the computer see it as three screens. Would love three nearly square monitors. Or a full 27 inch center with two halves on either side.

What's the equivalent dual monitor setup (just so I can visualize what 49" means). I've been looking at the 38"s and just started getting comfortable with the idea of that width lol.

2 27" combined

Fantastic deal. I was debating this when it dropped to 1200 and I just bought it at $999 from best buy. IPS is a huge selling point for me.

I have Samsung S95UA and am on the fence. It is awesome in many ways but feeling a little something lacking after coming from IPS monitor. I got the Samsung for 699 so this is $300 more. I will get the LG on Thursday and compare it. As for the Samsung it is true it has two USB-C but feels like something is lacking. Also only one port really seems able to charge anything. I will make sure to provide feedback once I have both to compare.
I almost bought the S95UA but reviews state the 120hz is only supported on displayport and not the USBC. That made it no go for me.

Looks almost perfect! I wish it had 1600 pixels on the vertical, though. I guess I'm keeping the LG 38" for now...Price is good, though.

This is toxic. I came hear to read details about a deal, not read your fan-boy love letters to Dell.

60 MHz . Mediocre reviews for gaming. At this price it should do both work and gaming well.
This is 144hz with FreeSync & G-SYNC compatibility. You are looking at reviews for the wrong monitor.

One additional consideration for those who want to use it for WFH - figuring out what to do for video calls. Hard to position a webcam anywhere that doesn't look like you're streaming from a security camera feed. I ended up mounting one on a telescoping arm that I could place in front of the monitor during calls, which is a little inconvenient but better than any alternative I found.

How does KVM work on the monitor? I know it's for switching between devices...? Can you have 3 devices on screen at the same time (2hdmi and one display port)?
