better than 5950x in gaming and about 7700x in productivity for those who want to compare to AMD side.

bottom line.. at 300 dollars, intel represent a much better value than AMD with cheaper MB and DDR4.
If we are getting a discount on a new CPU now, I don't see why we wouldn't see a similar or better price for BF, especially considering how computer parts sales are on a steep decline.
awesome price. The 13600K seems to outperform the 12700k by a bit. You're getting last years i7 performance in a cheaper i5 package with other perks.

Thanks for this. I had just ordered one at retail from best buy not long ago. They did a price patch. This is also $300 on Amazon.

Sometimes the best TV deals happen a few weeks before BF/CM. Could apply to cpus, but who knows

I usually shop for pc parts at microcenter so YMMV, I have noticed that their best parts deals, to be during BF. Again, one store, from one person's experience.

I bought this at Best Buy on 10-28 for $329.99. I messaged support and they refunded the difference in about 10 minutes.

Intel has denied that Meteor Lake will be delayed into 2024, but the 13600K should be on the market with no replacement for a relatively long time. If you want to wait for a bottom barrel price, there's no rush.

I wouldn't buy Raptor Lake unless you're upgrading an Alder Lake system, and try to wait for Zen 4 X3D, AM5 APUs, Zen 5, or Meteor Lake. Or maybe something like the i5-13400 (6+4) or i5-13500 (6+8) for a budget build next year. If the 13500 is priced aggressively it could be amazing.

Posting in case anyone's in the same boat and can benefit:
Building a system from scratch. Debating buying parts as they go on sale(like this) or hoping for the best on black Friday. I have a microcenter nearby.

Wondering if this or 5800x3d or wait for am5 x3D to build.
Gaming 1440p mainly. And I would like to stream. I keep hearing AMD is bad at streaming but I wonder if that's more myth than reality, or like min/maxing opinion maybe. I'm not a computer science person.

I'd like to go ddr5 for future proofing - sounds like the smartest idea since it's a fresh system build 🤷

Ordered one. Will hold it and see if any good combo deals come up. Planning on a build with BF sales. Intel seems by far the better value since you aren't forced into DDR5 right away, can upgrade later once prices drop. Will be a big upgrade from my 6600K.

Ordered one from amazon as well. I will probably hold onto it to see whether there are better deals on black friday, since I can always return by Jan 31st anyways. Would want to build a system fresh this time around, since i'm upgrading from 3570k, which should be a giant improvement.
