Possibly true. But also one size doesnt fit all. Some may not have such resources available immediately.

My view is rather based on compassion for a fellow human. Not sure how comfortable the street is in general but a little kindness goes a long way.

Nice deal for a good tent. I love camping. This is a nice back packing tent at 7.5 lbs. Not the lightest out there but not bad for $23.99
confused tho: Target says reg price is $31.99, Amazon says list price $69.99 ?

I'm buying this for my week long trip to California, this will save me from getting a hotel and I'll get the real life Cali experience living on the street.

I bought this last year; a decent tent for the price. Easy to set-up and strike; ample sized storage bag, too. I would definitely recommend for the occasional camper.

Great for backyard camping or to use as an equipment tent.

Where do you find a tent, with rainfly, and these features for $24? Seems like a good deal. Time to replace my worn out one?

Good deal. I like my Coleman tent. 5x7 is actually a pretty decent size for two people. I think you might be able to fit a queen-sized air bed in there, but there won't be room for much else. If you use these with those backpacking air pads, then you'll actually have space for bags and stuff.

Got this tent about 18 months ago. No issues at all after about 10 trips with it. Perfect for 2 people. Very simple to set up and one of the best things is the bag to hold everything can expand so there is plenty of room and never any struggles to get the tent, a footprint, and some other materials in the same bag for easy storage and keeping everything together.

This is the most privileged, out of touch comment I have seen in years. You think being homeless or "comfortable" outside in the winter is the difference of 1/100th of an inch of tent fabric? Do you believe a homeless person fighting mental health and / or drug problems is going to say "man, I don't have the world's cheapest tent, might as well go back to law school to finish my Juris Doctor so I can finally move back to Beverly Hills?"

One of the things I can't believe they don't do with these tents, yellow tent makers half of the world is extremely hot, is filter air so the draft through the tent passes right over you as you sleep. It would just mean a low "window" somewhere. Maybe that is difficult to work into the design, idk, but the way they design them they get circulation but you laying there are completely left out of the wind.

That's not the regular price, though. Just search for this tent on Slickdeals and you'll see some history.

It's funny because in reality you're the privlidged one thinking you can just throw money at the problem and that will solve it/make it better.

That's been done. In excess.

The more compassionate view is one that at least attempts to solve the over arching problem.

It is indeed quite comfortable for many homeless and they simply prefer not having to work.
