Anyone who knows BuyDig, how likely are they to have the $150 visa gift card deal on this TV again?

Thx for the reply. Was gonna apply for the Prime card in Jan but moved my timeline forward in sight of that. Unfortunately didn't get an immediate approval. Hopefully it comes through in the next couple of days and I'm able to take advantage of that extra 5%

what's your primary use? I was on same boat and went with 77' A80K from BuyDig. Not a hardcore gamer but have PS5. Also , Sony has better processing and upscaling. I needed a matte finish because the TV will be in the bright room. Still waiting on delivery, but keep in mind Costco WILL NOT cover burn in. That is what ultimately tipped me to BuyDig. Goodluck!

The C2 can get about 100 nits brighter for SDR if both needed to be pushed hard, the C2 also measures around 50- 60 nits brighter for HDR, did I see that difference with accurate picture modes? Not really

Sony will have advantage in upscaling, Reality Creation can also be tweaked, that being said in terms of motion and general processing LG has really stepped up, unless they are side by side you would be more than happy with either, movies on both look great and cinematic, it's just that with Reality Creation Sony gives you a little more detail.

Imo just go with whichever you like the look of better, go to the store switch picture modes, load up YouTube on both and see which you like better, I'm a Sony guy but LGs this year are a really good.

so I picked up the sony from Costco store and set it up. The brightness is adequate but it's at the max. If i turn off the power saving mode, it is a bit brighter and that is good. I was thinking of exchanging for the C2 but I think I will keep it. The audio is really good though.

Power saving mode especially on OLEDs should be the first thing you'll wanna disable. The fluctuations in dark scenes when power savings are on is very distracting.

Got approved and was able to get the TV with the 10% off plus use the $150 signup card bonus! Thanks a lot for posting this.

Also for whomever this may interest, I was also able to order the 65" model for $1,599 from green toe (including shipping and taxes). Cancelled that order because of the Amazon deal, but still others may want it

Sony's, other than Power Saving mode, comes out of the box with Brightness on Max because the Light Sensor is also on, it will adjust the brightness based on your room, since my set isn't calibrated i use it so I'm not blinded at night in dark room and don't have to switch picture modes, but you can turn it off if you would like to control the brightness yourself. The sensor will not operate during HDR and Dolby vision even if "on" which is a good thing.

Keep in mind the store TVs have been on for MANY hours. OLEDs tend to get brighter after initial "break in". Honestly, can't really go wrong with either...BOL!
