It's not really that complex IMO. If you buy a franchise, you should have to abide by their rules. People only walk into your door because of the millions they spend on ads, you shouldn't get to benefit from that and just decline the promotions. It's a bait and switch. If you can't make the business model work, then open up Jason's Sandwich Shop or whatever you want.
The only time I used this coupon to mobile order from my nearby subway, I got a sub with literally 12 pieces of shredded cheese(Cheddar), 5 spinach leaves, 4 green pepper, inadequate lettuce and 2 lines of mayo. I didn't even open the second one. When I showed it to the guys who made the sub, they said that's the quantity they give for mobile orders used with offer coupons.
This is the only way to get decent meat on a subway sub at a reasonable price. Get two and put all the fixings from the 2nd onto the 1st LOL.

That's messed up. At that point why even accept the order? Just say you won't take coupons then. Subway themselves should make a rule against franchise locations doing that. Not that I personally expect much from subway anyways (they definitely don't get visits from me unless there's a bogo coupon available), but if I order something, regardless if I use a promo or not, it's common sense to expect (and provide) the same product as you would if that item was purchased regular price.

You don't have to accept all coupons or even have all menu items take McDonalds for an example so items are only sold in specific regions.

I experienced a similar situation a while back using the "bogo" coupon through mobile for pickup. Sandwich had 3 olive slices, 3 green peppers, a pinch of lettuce and 3 jalapeño slices. The owner of that subway knew I used a coupon and did this on purpose. The minute I walked in he gave me a dirty look and attitude when asking to pick up my order. Never again

These shop franchises are so stingy nowadays. Most would not honor this offer.

I don't understand it personally I know they are living on the margins *one bad day can be a bad week in the food industry* but Subway is popular enough that you'd think that would be rare but these franchises almost all of them refuse to take the coupons....does Subway corporate not compensate them?

No subways near me ever want to redeem this coupon. They always give snarky looks when I even mention it. These coupons are a joke.

Sorry for the TD, but Subway sucks. Our nearest location doesn't accept online orders and the next nearest store doesn't honor coupons.

Go to Publix. Virtually same price and the quality of the ingredients and bread are amazing.

I have simply given up on Subway due to this kind of nonsense. I can't stand when the manager or owner get pissed off about using a coupon. Dude, you own a Subway...

I've been pretty impressed with their subs lately. The bread tastes better and they do a better job putting it together. It tastes mostly the same but I can tell they have upped their game from eating at several locations.

Subway corporate does not compensate franchisees for any coupons or offers. They come up with offers without asking franchisees, and expect them to honor them. Legally, they cannot force a franchisee to honor offers and they cannot dictate store level pricing. Corporate still makes money as a percentage of sales, whether a franchisee is barely breaking even or not. They don't care. Some stores are making bank and many are barely breaking even, it's all based on location.

Subway is using better meats now then in the past, but people still think of them as a 'cheap' sandwich shop, thanks to the old $5 footlong deals. ALL other sandwich shops charge at least 25 - 50% more for their sandwiches than Subway, and almost never have BOGO, or any real deals.

If you want a decent sandwich at a fairly reasonable price, Subway is still the place to go. If you want to pay double and think you got a premium sandwich, then go somewhere else.

As for complaining about toppings, the formula for a footlong is 1.5 ounces of lettuce, 6 slices of tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles, green peppers and SIX pieces of olives. If you want more, ask. There are also fixed quantities for all the meats.
