How are the aftermarket replacement mop pads on Amazon? Any better or worse than the shark brand?

I just bought the Biharnt brand from Amazon and they are fine. Seem to be the same quality at a lower price.

We have a different shark mop but similar pad. Generally we use it until it starts to darken then swap it out. Since it's white, you'll be able to see the dirt easily. For heavy traffic areas like hallways and doorways we try to use a fresh pad. This thing gets a lot, especially if you only mop once every 3+ weeks

Doesn't even show up on Shark's website. Looks like they're phasing these out for the big rotating ones for double the price. Can probably find some good deals if you look around at B&M stores. Someone on the other thread found one for $35 at Home Depot. Obviously YMMV as you have to go into the store to look for it.

Can you use steam mops on vinyl floors? The manufacturer says don't use steam but I know people who use it on theirs. Wonder if it will shorten the lifespan.
