I signed up today, the code was applied successfully. I can let you know once / if I receive the $45 cash card in the next 2 weeks.
The closest Costco is too far, but last year I was going to sign up for membership longline during covid for the online discounts. Well that didn't work out because apparently the membership didn't become active until you went to their warehouse location to get a card. I just ended up skipping the membership and paying their non-membership tax ðŸ˜
