If you're getting your hopes up about this, and thinking you'll be "the exception" to all the negative experiences...prepare to be disappointed. Read the previous thread about last week's Walmart + promo. There are 10+ pages of complaints. Walmart didn't even have the "Buy" button at noon, it was immediately replaced with OOS. I repeatedly refreshed the page from 11:40 - 12:30 and it was constantly OOS.

Walmart isn't trying to sell TV's, they're selling W+ memberships. I was gullible too, and paid for the membership, and thought I'd get a TV...at 12 noon, in the middle of the day, when MILLIONS of people were watching this highly promoted sale. Nope. Instead, I got the 55" from another SD post for Target for $199 on Sat night at 2am. Already have the TV in hand. That thread is full of positive experiences.

Granted, one guy said he went into the physical Walmart, and at noon they price matched the TV with the online price, and he walked out with it. Might be the way to go. Otherwise, don't get your hopes up. Another "deal" at noon that sounds "too good to be true".... Fool me once... Just my 2 cents. Good luck!

I bought one of these 3 years ago when it sold for $300. Still going strong.

If they keep it OOS, like it currently is, until noon on the 7th, there's a better chance of getting one. The Hisense deal last month didn't start until 12 noon, but Walmart let those that bought earlier at a higher price get adjustments.

Which tv is better? The target Emerson tv for 200 or this one??? I have the target tv on hold for pickup.
All I can say to that is my dad got an Emerson TV from Walmart in 2010, it is still working fine after over 12 years, that is with daily use all day everyday. TCL didn't even exist then, at least not in the US.

Good TV. Terrible viewing angle. Processor snappy enough to run Roku well. Looks good straight on. As with all cheap TVs, you need at least a sound bar because the audio quality is poor.
Can you confirm or deny if "motion smoothing" can be turned off on these TVs? Someone earlier posted that it couldn't be turned off.

Seems unlikely since RTINGS reviewed the 4 Series/S455 which seems similar, and they said that the TV doesn't even have motion smoothing...

^^^ My question as well, I have the Target TV sitting unboxed in my basement...
Same. I actually saw one on display in Target a couple of days ago and it looked pretty good to me. But they had the 55 beneath it and it was all jacked up with horizontal lines. I'm just going to wait until Black Friday is over to see if any better deals pop up. I did order 2 of these so at least I'll have a couple to choose from.

So even if you get the + membership you're probably not gonna get one?
I got one. It showed out of stock shipping it home, but when I changed it to pick up at the store I was able to get one. That was at 11:20 central time

I remember earlier when people thought this was going to be hard to get. I laughed. Are people really this clueless? We are on the brink of a disastrous recession, I just read a report today that 63% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. Spending is down. Companies are just dying to get rid of inventory. Amazon reported a couple weeks ago saying that Christmas spending is projected to be way down. TCL/Walmart are just hoping they can sell out of these units before the tough times arrive and people aren't buying TVs.
Well, if all this is true, then bring on the recession. I love cheap prices and I'm happily retired.

It is still happening. I ordered 2 a little while ago and just clicked the link and still get the add to cart button. Are you a Walmart + member?

It's more like a backlog of the hundred cargo ships with all those containers and Walmart wanting to sell $100 subscriptions. Does it over abundance of TVs they're on sale everywhere

Ordered 2 with no issues.
It won't let me do two orders. It lets me add to cart but then tells me it's out of stock.

I ordered 2 on separate orders and just checked to see. It lets me add 1 and go all the way to checkout.
