I grabbed one to keep in the car or if I'm about and about. I won't be sad if it's lost, stolen or broken. Sometimes, I'm waiting in the car, and can check and send off email more efficiently than on my phone. My Acer 713 Spin is too nice & heavy to carry around, or worry about losing it.
I'm going to try it out. Worst case scenario, I have until January to return.
Near instant ewaste. Please don't buy this except as punishment for someone you dislike.
I think that's a bit extreme. It has a use case, but it's extremely narrow. As a laptop for grandma to check her email and scroll facebook, or a laptop for a child to type homework, or especially as a handy portable device for remote connection to a work server or your computer at home. It's durable and it's cheap enough that you're not gonna lose any sleep if it gets broken or stolen.
That being said, the 14" Lenovo for $100 at Walmart right now is a *much* better value, as is the $180 Asus C433 at Best Buy.

The A4 chip is the real concern. 820 passmark...for context that's about the same processing power as a 2016 Intel Atom x5 processor which are widely regarded as tablet ewaste processors. I know benchmarks aren't everything but yowza.

Yeah it's rough for sure. Even compared to a Celeron n4020. But serviceable enough as an email/web browsing machine. Or as a remote client.
