I have been looking at this vacuum but it was $249.
It is now $50 off which is an OK deal consider getting a free 4ah performance battery and charger.

I had Dyson before, but feel the battery life is less than ideal.
Ryobi battery is inter-changeable with my tools, but the roller is not as good as the Dyson so it does require clean up with hair rolling around it from time to time.

I really like Ryobi. However, I've not heard good things about this vacuum.

You are probably referring to the older generations. I had the first gen and it really sucked. Not in a good way.

This new generation fixes a lot of the problems. Biggest improvement is cyclonic action, which prevents the filter from clogging. It also has a washable filter.

I paid a bit more for the dual roller model since I have mostly tile. The dual roller model also comes with some useful attachements. The micro crevice tool and mini powered roller bar are awesome for cleaning my vehicle.

I've only seen good reviews of this vac so far. I guess it's time to patiently wait for a DTO or black Friday deal

How is the powerhead for cleaning/unclogging? I have a first gen P719, and it's a complete sh*t to get hair out of. 14 screws just to pull the roller out.
