I thought Mint was at $589 for the Pro?
Right : 1 year of service + Pro at $589. If you consider the 1 year service costs $180, the amount for Pro is at $409.
Against that : XM is at $400 for the pro; 3GB per month would be $30 per month or $360 for a year. Note that the Mint offer appears to have the phone unlocked whereas XM requires you to have 2 years service to unlock.
For someone already on XM with a "by the gig" plan - adding a line just costs taxes and fees, and may make more sense if they don't plan to shift. For anyone else or if you need extra service - the Mint offer is more attractive.
Is the phone locked for two years or can I keep the Xfinity line with shared data but remove Xfinity sim and put a different carrier sim?
I believe it would be locked to Xfinity.. not sure you would be able to use another provider's sim. I would check with Xfinity customer care . which is a difficult task.. I find their chat support comparatively easier to deal with.
For reference, I think last year's BF deal was $200 off a phone (or select free phone) + $450 GC when you trade-in a phone in their system + $x GC for the trade-in value.
Select free phone was an iPhone SE last year...could be that again...possibly the 6a...or a crappy Samsung/Motorola...or at best an iPhone Mini.
Single line unlimited is at $45 per month. $30 only if you have 2 lines.
2 lines, yes but not necessarily 2 unlimited lines. On the latest Xfinity plan, If you have one unlimited and one 'by the gig' line, then u will be charged 30$ for unlimited line and 15$ per GB for 'by the gig' line

Google Voice is an option. But it charges a $3 fee to unlock the number so that it can be ported to Xfinity.
