The Joe's New Balance site and eBay store have been a pain every time I've broken down and gone for the deal over common sense. If you wear a wide sneaker as a lot of NB fans do, don't assume it will be Wide unless you have worn that model before.

It doesn't matter if it says 4E on the label, we have measured some models and they are barely any different than the regular D size just a "Wide" plastic tag on the shoe and their return policy is a PITA. You pay return shipping no matter what the issue is, even if it's their mistake (color, size, defect), it takes forever for the refund and if there's an additional issue, pray it gets resolved. I'd rather scour Amazon looking for deals on Extra Wide models at a discount.

Thanks! New Balance seems to have discontinued the Ralaxas I liked so much, and I've been eyeing the 520v7s as a possible replacement. May as well get them at a discount.

Isn't that against eBay policies for them to force you to pay return shipping if they sent you the wrong item?

I should have been more specific, of there's a variation of size, color, or it's misrepresented they ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. My first bad experience was with them directly, the last was this exact model of shoes on eBay. The 4E is no wider than the D we literally measured. I guess we could have pushed it through eBay but the response time from Joe's is glacial.
