In my opinion, this is one of the very best RC trucks that you can buy. It's massive (over 30 lbs) and easily goes 50mph+, so it needs room to run. I would not recommend this for a kid, you could seriously hurt someone if you aren't careful.

Losi probably has a nicer fit and finished and is a bit more refined. If you can call a basher refined... but if you appreciate the details, they are a bit nicer. The traxxas or Arrma true bashers might be a bit tougher. But the Traxxas UDR is what would be comparable to this - not an XMaxx. It has a trailing arm suspension and handles differently than some Kraton or XMaxx would. If you like doing backflips 20ft in the air, it's probably no the one for you. If you like ripping balls out over bumpy terrain, it's fun as hell.

I'm not a scientist but even I know that IF the cheapest lipo 4S battery + kit is over 210 dollars that's high way robbery. Traxxas batteries fetch a premium sure but most lipo batteries aren't as high quality. I'm not saying the high end ones aren't expensive I'm saying it's dumb that's the cost of the CHEAPEST combo.

An item or a hobby that you aren't interested in enough to spend a lot of money on doesn't make it highway robbery. I don't whine about Jewelry prices being highway robbery for chunk of useless rock someone found in the ground just because I'm not interested in it.

But you say the battery is only 160Wh, and my Macbook is 60Wh - so it's not that amazing, right? Try fully discharging your macbook from full charge in 12 minutes then recharging it for 40 minutes, then repeating and see how many cycles you get out of that battery. Cars like this are pulling in the ballpark of 150A at 32V at full trot with many times greater energy density than a car battery on top of all that. It weights 25lbs and goes over 50mph and out accelerates pretty much anything.

Ah I just noticed that the RC car needs 2x 4S batteries not just one. That makes a bit sense then. I stand corrected.
